We are a Taipei-based community of locals and expats affiliated with Dharma Drum Mountain. We gather each week to meditate, discuss recent developments in our practice, and share wisdom from the past. Dharma Drum Mountain was founded in 1989 by the late Chan (better known to many by its Japanese name, Zen) master Sheng-yen. Today, it is one of the largest Buddhist organizations in Taiwan, with affiliates in countries across the globe and several centers across Taipei. 

As members of both a self-contained community and part of the broader Dharma Drum lineage, we at IMG engage in mental and moral cultivation, social outreach and education, and volunteer initiatives.

We welcome individuals from all walks of life to join us, whatever your worldview, background, or identity. If you suspect that cultivating greater compassion, wisdom, and peace in daily life can benefit us all, then IMG is the place for you.
